What's new

What's new in Walio

We keep improving Walio. Here's what we've shipped recently. Where we're headed next is on the roadmap.

  1. New

    Gift vouchers

You sell a voucher for an amount and the recipient has it right in their wallet. Staff deduct the bill at checkout and the voucher stays with the remaining balance – it only counts as redeemed at zero. Staff can sell one at the till too, but only in the amounts you set, and for every voucher you can see who issued it. You hand the link over by QR code or email. From the Growth plan; you switch the module on in Settings.

  2. Improvement

    Customer tags on every plan

Collecting interests during card sign-up and assigning your own tags to customers now works on every plan, Free included — it used to be Pro only. Targeting campaigns and automations by tag stays on Pro, but by the time you move there your segments are already full instead of empty.

  3. New

The card in the customer’s language

When signing up for a card, your guests pick Czech, Slovak or English, and the card texts and lock-screen notifications then arrive in that language. You choose which languages to offer in Settings. Your own wording – rewards, offers, message texts – stays exactly as you wrote it.

  4. Improvement

Vouchers: scheduled send-outs, targeting and results

You can now send a voucher to your card holders right away or on a schedule, by push and e-mail, in the customer's language. You target a segment, and after the send-out you see issued, redeemed and the conversion rate. Walio reminds customers on its own about a voucher that's about to expire. From the Growth plan; on Pro you can pin a voucher straight to an automation, for example a birthday.

  5. Improvement

Full segmentation from the Growth plan

You now target campaigns and vouchers at VIPs, customers at risk of leaving, those active this week or those who have never been in – all eight segments from the Growth plan, not just some of them. On Pro you add your own tags and interests on top.

  6. New

    Your own customer labels

Label your customers your own way – say “corporate” or “vegan menu” – and send a campaign to just them, with a live recipient count before you hit send. Customers can also sort themselves by interest when they sign up for a card. On the Pro plan.

  7. New

    Several venues under one account

Each branch gets its own card, statistics and scanning device, and you switch between them in the Overview. Your customer still carries a single card that works everywhere. An extra venue is a paid add-on from the Growth plan.

  8. New

    Tickets and events in Wallet

Sell tickets to an event as a second type of wallet pass – paid ones too, and several at once. At the door you scan them with the same scanner as loyalty cards. Turn it on in Settings; it is included in every plan.

  9. New

    Reservations straight from Walio

Guests book a spot with you through a public page, and the confirmation and reminder arrive on their Wallet card. Salons can also set up services, staff and calendars. The basics come with the Start plan, salon mode with Growth, prepayment with Pro.

  10. New

Autopilot: retention without the manual setup

Walio decides on its own who to message, when and with what – no campaigns to watch, no wording to tune. Turn it on in Automations → Autopilot. On the Pro plan.

  11. New

    Automatic collection of Google reviews

After a few visits, Walio now automatically asks satisfied customers for a Google review and directs unhappy ones to private feedback for you before it ends up public. Turn it on in Automation, available from the Growth plan.

  12. New

    Feature overview on the website

We've launched dedicated pages for individual features – card in Apple and Google Wallet, push notifications, stamps and rewards, automatic reminders, customer database and statistics. You'll find them in the Features section.

  13. New

"What Walio has brought you" right in the Dashboard

In the portal you can now see an estimate of how much your loyalty program has really brought in from repeat visits – not just the number of cards issued, but the value in euros.

  14. New

    Scanning tablet for staff

Pair the tablet at the counter with a single QR code. Staff add stamps and redeem rewards without access to the portal.

  15. Improvement

    Customer segmentation

You can now split customers into VIP, new and inactive and send push campaigns in a targeted way, not to everyone at once.

  16. New

    Personal automation

Automatic rewards for birthdays, name days or as a surprise. Set it up once and Walio sends them on its own.

  17. New

    Coupons and discount promotions

Send a discount as a percentage, in euros or "something for free". The customer redeems it with a single tap right from the card.

  18. New

    Monthly report by e-mail

Every month you get an overview: how many pushes and scans there were and how your customers' loyalty is developing.
