Collect Google reviews automatically, from your happiest customers

After a few visits, Walio sends the customer a push on its own and asks how happy they were. It sends happy ones straight to Google and captures feedback from unhappy ones privately, before it turns into a public one-star.

Why reviews matter and why most venues don't collect them

Stars on Google Maps are the first thing a new guest sees about you. They decide whether they come in or go one door further. Yet most happy customers never write a review – it simply doesn't occur to them. Mostly the annoyed ones speak up, so a venue's public image looks worse than what people actually take away from it.

Walio flips that. When a customer has been in several times and clearly enjoys coming back, that's the best moment to ask them for a review. Walio sends a push straight through the loyalty card in Wallet and asks a simple question: how happy were you? It directs a happy guest to your Google review in one click.

And when someone isn't happy, it doesn't send them to Google. Instead it offers them the chance to tell you directly. The feedback comes by e-mail to you only, so you have a chance to fix the problem before it ends up as a public one-star for everyone to see.

How review collection works

  1. 1. Add the link and switch it on

In the portal under Automation → Collecting reviews, you add the link to your venue on Google Maps and set after which visit Walio should get in touch (the default is 4).

  2. 2. Walio reaches out at the right moment

As soon as the customer reaches the visit threshold, they get a push to their card on their own with a link to a short rating page. They install nothing; it opens on their phone.

  3. 3. The customer picks a mood

On the page they simply choose an emoji: happy, neutral or unhappy. It takes them a second.

  4. 4. It splits happy from unhappy

A happy customer goes straight to your Google review. An unhappy one writes private feedback that arrives by e-mail to you only and never reaches Google.

What review collection brings you

A better reputation on Google and early capture of dissatisfaction, without lifting a finger.

  • More stars automatically Walio asks for a review on its own and at the moment the customer is happiest. Reviews add up without you having to beg for them at the till.
  • Asks only loyal guests The request goes to someone who has been in a few times and enjoys coming back. Those are exactly the people who write the best reviews.
  • Catch complaints earlier and privately An unhappy guest writes to you directly, not to Google. You have a chance to put it right before it becomes a public one-star.
  • No extra work for staff Set it up once and it runs itself. Staff don't have to ask anyone for anything or hand anything out.
  • The guest installs nothing Everything happens through the card in Wallet and a simple page on the phone. No app, no registration.
  • See how many reviews came in In the portal you'll see how many people you reached and how many reviews and private feedback came out of it.
